Red25 Unite to Save Lives!

Sesame Lane has joined the Australian Red Cross Blood Service’s Red25 program, to unite and save lives. Did you know that every time you donate blood, you save three lives? Donating can take as little as an hour of your time, and you truly give someone the gift of life. One in three of us are going to need a blood product sometime in our lifetime, but only one in thirty donate. Have you or has someone you know received the life gift of blood?
 
Over the winter period, many regular donors are unable to make their appointments due to colds, flu and illness. So for the next 3 months (May to July) Sesame Lane staff, family and friends are invited to join us in a donation drive. To add some friendly competition, we’ve split everyone into 3 groups so be sure to tell your family and friends what group you’re in and encourage them to join us in making a difference.
 
Corporate and community groups donate around 25% of all blood required in Australia, and Sesame Lane is proud to be on board. If you are an existing donor, visit donateblood.com.au/red25 to register with our Group Sesame Lane Care & Kindergarten and be sure to add your Division (as below). If you’re interested in donating for the first time and saving 3 lives with every donation, please phone 13 14 95 to book an appointment, and be sure to tell them you would like to join our Red25 group and division. You can also join our group and division on the day of your donation appointment.

Find a donation location handy for you! If you can get 3 friends together, the Red Cross will pick you up in a mini bus and take you to the Strathpine Donor Centre.
