Providing positive experiences never fails to turn little ones into happy, healthy learners – this is something I’ve found ever since I started my career with Education Queensland 36 years ago, when I was a pre-school teacher in Far North Queensland and I have been a Service Manager for 27 years. My motto as an educator is that all children grow and thrive in a happy environment with lots of cuddles, love and encouragement. I have been with Sesame Lane for over 13 years and I still look forward to coming to work each day. It gives me great joy to create a caring setting with plenty of laughter, where every child feels comfortable and welcome.  Away from the classroom, I’ve lived locally for 30 years. My grown-up children have left home (but return frequently) and my husband and I are part of the ‘grey nomad’ movement, exploring Australia in our caravan as often as possible
