Sesame Lane Narangba - Cotton Tree Drive is opposite Jinibara state school and is known for its dedicated Educators and spacious outdoor playground. Our Educators are committed to building positive relationships with families and the wider community and work collaboratively together to help children become stronger and more resilient. Providing a safe, stimulating and caring environment which enables children to feel secure and a sense of belonging is what makes our Service stand apart from the rest. Many of our Educators have been with us for a long time including our Service Manager Kerrie Ward, who has been the manager for 10 years. But Sesame Lane's inclusive programs are what really makes us unique!

My career in care and education began 30 years ago and 25 of these I have been with Sesame Lane. Over the decades, I’ve built relationships with families that last for years. It’s wonderful to help children achieve their milestones and watch them grow from nursery to school age. This is what keeps me inspired. What I love most are the conversations we have with the children. So many cuddles and smiles, and a ‘Hi Miss Kerrie!’ each day. And then when they see you at the shops, they run up for a hug. There are so many things I love about my work – the pictures they draw for you and the small, special gifts they give. So many memories. When the day is done, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, including my own happy, healthy learner – my 12-year-old son, Jy. To relax, I love dirt-biking, fishing and camping. Someday I’d love to travel around Australia in a caravan.

I just wanted to take the time quickly to thank you all for the amazing level of care you provide to my two children. My boys have built some beautiful bonds with their educators both present and past and is such a beautiful thing to watch, as well as listen to my boys talk about at home.

From my many requests in regards to our health care, no matter what it is nothing is ever too big of a problem. Coming from the childcare industry myself I am probably one of those (annoying mums with a high level of expectations) but I can honestly say and especially speaking for right now I am really impressed with the quality of care, support, guidance (you name it) my boys are receiving.

Someone is always straight to greet us, both mornings and afternoons (huge deal to me) as it really makes the difference between feeling acknowledged and my children being included to not, so thank you.
